P.G. DIPLOMA Family & Marriage Counseling
  • A one-year compressed semester program to attend classes three times in the months of August, January, and May, two weeks each at a time. The second semester classes in the month of January will be facilitated as virtual (online) classes. For the rest of the two semesters, students need to come to the UIM-FRTI premises for their classes.
  •  This course introduces and familiarizes the students with Marriage and Family concepts/therapies/approaches related to Christian counseling, intertwining the disciplines of Christian faith and Psychology. 
  • This course includes Counseling Practicum which provides an opportunity to practice counseling skills under the supervision of an experienced practitioner, which equips students to plan and facilitate structured counseling sessions using various counseling aspects and techniques from a Christian prism.

Basic Qualification: Any undergraduate degree from a recognized university


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Consolidated knowledge in various Ethical approaches to counseling from a Christian prism.
  • Excellence and integrity in Christian counseling practice in helping clients addressing and resolving specific problems, making decisions, coping with crisis, improving relationships, developmental issues, promoting and developing personal awareness, working with feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and internal or external conflict.

  10. Family life and Spirituality: Part – 1

  12. Internship: Individual/Marriage supervised counseling practicum Part – 1
